Downloading and printing files from this website
There are forms, information sheets and event schedules that can be downloaded from this website and they are available in a variety of different formats.
We are now standardising on the universally used PDF (Portable Document Format).
This enables downloaded pages to print out exactly like the original documents, irrespective of the type of computer, printer or web browser you are using.
The PDF format requires suitable reader software installed on your computer to enable you to view and print PDF files.
You may already have a PDF reader installed. If you are not sure,
to download a small test document from the British Driving Society website. If it displays on your screen, you already have a suitable reader and you may go ahead and download documents from our website.
If you do not have a PDF reader installed, you may choose from the following:
Foxit Reader is only 1 Mbyte and is quick and easy to download and install. It is available FREE from the BDS website -
to download it. When the download box pops up, choose either "Run" to install the program immediately, or "Save" to save it to a suitable location for installation later.
Adobe Acrobat reader is the most popular PDF document software. It can be downloaded from the Adobe website free of charge -
. The disadvantage is the large size of the download - over 20 Mbytes. This is not recommended for anyone with a dial-up internet connection.
